We went to Woods Hole on Sunday and did a little plein air painting before we went to see a show with paintings by Richard Schmid and others. This is on a little side street near the harbor.

Bikepath in Barrington

My new favorite painting place is the Barrington River. This bridge is part of a bikepath that's about 20 miles long and is really pretty.

It's that time of year, that beautiful blue of hydrangeas everywhere. Lucky for me, I have a neighbor with a whole row of them who doesn't mind if I clip a few for my painting.

Summer classes

I'll be teaching a portrait class at the South County Art Association starting July 10 for 4 weeks. It's on Tuesday nights from 6-9 PM. We'll be using a limited color approach, great for beginners, live models 3 of the 4 nights.

I'm also teaching a plein air class in the towns of Warren and Bristol, through the Portsmouth Art Guild. Wednesday mornings, 9-noon, starting July 11.
