The last rose

The garden is shutting down for the winter; I picked this last rose along with some autumn colored leaves this past weekend.

    I guess summer really is over. This is a great mix of the previous season hanging on, and the new season on its way. Love the "last" rose, mixed with the leaves. So symbolic!
