Oil on canvas, 6" x 6"
I found this squash at a roadside stand and realized it was star material, just destined to play the leading role in its own painting. Then I found the berries to play supporting roles when I was walking on the East Bay Bike Path.
What a beautiful painting. Everything compliments each other. Well done, Kathy.

ReplyDeleteGorgeous painting Kathy. I especially like the light in those berries, and the leaves they came with. Finding leaves to go with the fruit is always a bonus!
ReplyDeleteThis painting has a wonderful classical feel to it.
ReplyDeleteGreat loose brush strokes, beautifully painted and nice light...and oh ya, that squash definitely deserves an oscar!

ReplyDeleteI love this painting! It caught my eye on Linda Popple's blog . . . wonderful atmosphere: the paint seems to "breathe."
