Kathy i've visited this evocative painting many times. You've captured the morning light of my childhood in a similar corner store in central Pennsylvania. I remember its smell, its coolness in summer and the glass counter of penny candies like Fleer, the (probably toxic) plastic stuff we'd chew and turn into weird pink or Prussian Blue "balloons."
