wow. How beautiful. What a wonderful color palatte. Was this one from photo or plein air? I'd love to hear more about your plein air painting from your car. It's something I'm trying to figure out too.

Hi Jeff, I've appreciated all your wonderful comments in the past. I did about half of this on location, took some photos (it was getting too dark to really see what I was doing, I should get a little battery operated light) and finished it at home the next morning from photo and memory. The hardest part of painting from your car is finding a place where you have a view to paint and you can park your car right in front of it- without looking suspicious and attracting the police.

I love this painting and I admire your spirit in getting those "plein auto" paintings done! I particularly love the point of view on this work; it also conveys a kind of mood that is appealing.
