Summer snack-sold

Oil on canvas, 6" x 8"
Sometimes I just love painting over old paintings, as I did here. I sand the old painting to get rid of most bumps and lumps, leaving a smooth, non-absorbent surface with a fair amount of color still on it. If I'm lucky I get a painting that I like and diminish the pile of paintings that I don't.

Wonderful painting, Kathy! I love the gorgeous colors and the sense of light it has.

Great one. Very real, believable feel to it.
