Just trying out ideas for possible larger paintings... I keep thinking, I like still lifes that are light and airy but keep painting dark and mysterious. Not sure what to do about that.
As artists, we seem to be drawn to certain moods and atmospheres. Maybe the next time you set up a still life, you could put it in front of a sunny window with a lace curtain (you are a master at lace!) and use lots of yellow and white. I can see it now...maybe some white tulips :)

Dark and mysterious are good characteristics.
As always, love your paintings. This one is lovely and I like mystery. I'm drawn into the painting.
