Shop window, South Main-sold

Oil on canvas, 20" x 20"
This one was fun to paint, for a change. Seems like most of the paintings I've done lately have been pulled along, kicking and screaming, but this just kind of fell off my brush. I think I just don't deal very well with the stress of an upcoming show.

soooo many nice elements, colors too, love the 'ladder' on the right

Nice. Isn't it great when a painting comes along that just flows. Only too seldom. But then it is those screaming, drag along ones that build character. So I tell myself.
Great job.

Thanks, Jan, and Gary, don't you just hate those things that build character?

This is lovely -- your handling of the reflections and shadows is truly masterful!
