Sand dogs-sold

Oil on panel, 6" x 8"
I spotted these dogs with their owner on the beach last September when I was on Cape Cod for a week. I don't know if dogs are normally allowed on the beach, I suspect not, but there were definitely a lot of people enjoying the post-season sun that day with their canine friends.

I'm giving away a painting at the end of the month to a subscriber, so if you'd like a chance to win, subscribe now. Your email address is absolutely safe with me.

Love this one! The dogs look so alert and interested in what is going on around them, while the owner is very relaxed. I love the warmth of the sun on the sand. Wish I were there now!

Love this one, Kathy! So different in subject - with the dogs! Usually dogs are allowed on MA beaches after Labor Day. it is kind of implied that the owners pick up after them.
