Skiffs- sold

Oil on panel, 6"x6"
I've been taking photos of skiffs over the last few years and the idea of doing a series of paintings of them has lodged in my head. I'm thinking of doing them large- sofa size, as the ads say. Why skiffs? They're humble, unassuming, essential, but used mostly as transport from the beach or dock to the REAL boat. Painted large, you could almost imagine yourself jumping in and gliding away.

This is a great skiff painting, Kathy. I feel like I am right out there in the sunshine. You've used terrific colors.

Nicely done. I just recently learned of the importance, in landscape, or creating rows. Like with grass or a field of flowers. You've really got the rows of water here! Well done.
Happy Painting.

Great painting Kathy. Love your fresh color. It just jumps out at you. Should make a great large painting. Can't you just see it over someones couch at their cottage. Yup, I think so !

Beautiful, I like the idea of a sofa-sized - would either brighten a darker living room or fit in beautifully in one w/ more light...
