Traveling, sketching

We just got back from a trip to Las Vegas and Death Valley National Park. We stayed in a little town called Beatty, NV, to go to the park, where I did some sketching. I also did my best to make use of time sitting in the airport, sketching the other captives. (If I never see the Las Vegas airport again, that will be too soon.)

I agree about the Vegas airport, and Vegas in general. The surrounding area is great though isn't it? I thought you might be interested to read some journals from another artist working in Beatty NV, click "previous" for more entries, she shares lots about the area and the artist residency she is on. http://www.juneunderwood.com/category/beatty-nevada/

Thanks, Todd. And Kathy, yes, the area is great. Too bad the museum wasn't open when we were at Rhyolite.
