The Fire Boat

Oil on canvas, 9" x 12"
This is the marina beside the old railroad bridge in East Providence. I believe the boat with the red and yellow stripes is the fire department's. It actually pulled away from the dock while I was painting, but then came back about half an hour later.

The light in this painting is very nice. I like the abstract nature of the structures at the top set against the water in the lower part of the painting...very very nice!
