Oil on panel, 8" x 10"
Fort Hill is part of the Cape Cod National Seashore, a really beautiful place with a spectacular view. I did a few paintings here that I'll be posting this week. I really liked the curve of this road as it goes up the hill to the parking lot.

Nice composition, Kathy! At first I wasn't sure it was the Cape, because there are Fort Hill in so many towns! But it does have that Capey feel...
Thanks. And Kelley, it's true- there's a Fort Hill in East Providence, where I live. But this one is in Eastham, near the Orleans line.
Lovely painting, especially the pop of yellow...It is all autumn colors here in VT...such an exciting time that last such a short spell
I get the sense the house is illuminated from the glow of the field itself. This is devilishly clever. How could one avoid staring at it?
