Afternoon at Rick's-sold

Oil on linen, 8" x 10"
Saturday afternoon I was in Boston delivering work for the Copley Society Holiday Small Works show and I kind of sneaked into the opening of Don Demers show at the Vose Gallery just up the street. Really nice work- Don is a master of the land/seascape. If you're going to be in Boston make sure you take some time for a Newbury St. art stroll!

Kathy this is such a wonderful little piece of art! Love the 2 shafts of light streaming across the pictorial plane. Nice mood...

Mike - talk and paint at the same time? I sorta thought you did that...

Kathy - Rick's is a sunlight tour de force, or rather, a shadow tour de force. Wow.

Mike- he is pretty amazing. I took a workshop where he taught one day. Very nice person, too. Lucky you, getting to see a long demo like that!
Susan and Dave- thanks!
