I've really been in the mood for painting from life-- painting from photos can be so dull. These pansies were on sale so they became the subject.
Kathy, this is such an excellent painting. I love pansies, and I think the characteristic that identifies pansies besides their unique "faces" is the stems. They just stand so straight and tall, yet are delicate. You have captured that perfectly!
