Flowered sweater

Oil on canvas, 6" x 6"
Yesterday was a beautiful spring day in Providence, and there was a crowd on the deck of the Hot Club enjoying it. I liked the springtime feel of this woman's attire.

kathy....there is so much kinetic energy in this painting....the vibrant grass-green color of her blouse...the open posture of the woman...hand out stretched...leaning forward...about to leap into spring...but sadly the male...stiff and pushed back...darkly dressed...looks like he is still anchored in winter...he's a long way from the beach and the barnyard...i am sure she's pleading for a committment...he obviously is looking for the check

I love how simply you've blocked in her face! Very nice painting.
