Oil on panel, 8" x 10"
I was surprised and pleased to be chosen this week by the website Empty Easel for an article about my plein aire landscapes. You can check it out here.

You have been a favorite of mine since seeing your work on Wickenden St and at a client's house! What a treat to run into you on Empty Easel! Congratulations.

Nice article - thoughtful and well said. This Fort Getty II has a really nice 'quiet' to it...a little bit of your special kind of magic.

I just checked out the paintings that EmptyEasel has in their article and clicked to come here at the end of the article... nice! I am so tempted to take up oils for this plein air season! However, I've worked mainly in watercolor and dabbled a bit in acrylics so it's intimidating.
Yours are lovely...

Thanks for all the comments! I don't do a lot of gray day paintings, I'd rather paint the sun, but I have seen artists that do a great job of it. It's all about atmosphere...
