Rocks and waves-sold

Oil on panel, 8" x 10"
We went painting at the beach the other day and I foolishly decided to paint rocks and waves. Talk about a moving target! Waves come and go and come; rocks get covered and uncovered and covered. It makes you really appreciate the powers of observation of maritime artists in the days before photography.

If you're interested in this painting, send me a bid.

You did a fantastic job. That is a challenge and a half. Your rocks are really great. I can feel that cold, slippery, mossy surface.

Nothing foolish about this painting!! You took a very difficult subject and conveyed the essence of the ocean! As always, love your lively brushwork and color.

This is terrific, Kathy. The warmth of the later afternoon sunlight is excellent.

Kathleen, you nailed it, though, and kept a challenging subject simple.
