Squash-sold

Oil on canvas, 6" x 6"
I found this squash at a roadside stand and realized it was star material, just destined to play the leading role in its own painting. Then I found the berries to play supporting roles when I was walking on the East Bay Bike Path.

Gorgeous painting Kathy. I especially like the light in those berries, and the leaves they came with. Finding leaves to go with the fruit is always a bonus!

Great loose brush strokes, beautifully painted and nice light...and oh ya, that squash definitely deserves an oscar!

What a lovely tribute to Fall. I love the color of the grey squash with the tasty little berries. Nice job!

I love this painting! It caught my eye on Linda Popple's blog . . . wonderful atmosphere: the paint seems to "breathe."
