I wanted to paint something really "Philadelphia" for my show at the F.A.N. Gallery. This is from the Reading Terminal Market, the best place in town to grab a bite to eat. The show is up until the end of June.

Our model for this portrait had very fair skin. Her white tank top and the dark hair provided values at either end of the scale, helping me judge the skin tones in both the light and the shadow more accurately.

At our favorite bar in Boston, The Sevens on Beacon Hill, a booth in the corner. This is in my show at the F.A.N. Gallery in Philadelphia. The paintings were delivered this past weekend, and the opening is Friday night. (Unfortunately, I can't be there.)
