Kettle casting shadow-sold

Oil on canvasboard, 6" x 6"
Another kettle painting- my last one, I think.

For me this one works best of the three kettle pieces. I like the big chunks of color on the kettle and the strong shadow cutting across the stripes. I also like the tension/energy between the bold stripes and the lemon wedges. The stripes stay back and give the spotlight to the lemon wedge but I can hear the stripes 'trash talking' the wedge for dominance. Nice job

Wonderful job, Kathy! I agree with Janice, it is my favorite one as well. The composition is great and the colors are beautiful - very nice brushwork too! A very nice one to end your short series.
