NY street scene-sold

Oil on canvas panel, 6" x 8"
From my trip to New York last week, a study for a possible larger painting. I loved the contrast between the single figure on the left, taking a break, with the busy-ness of all the people on the right.

I like the painting and I agree with your observation about the guy on break. Is that an spy disguised as a duck watching from the window?

Had fun yesterday and saw some nice work.

Great light and atmosphere in this scene. I can see a larger version for sure. And you are right, the contrast adds to the charm of the scene, and certainly tells a story.
