Oil, 8" x 8"
I keep coming back to this street because the view up the hill intrigues me. I loved the contrast of the orangey-yellow of the forsythia against the cooler yellow of the house. Painted mostly while sitting in my car across the street.

Well put, Candace, my thoughts exactly. The light and the tones are so right. Just makes me feel good looking at it! How do you paint from your car, logistically?! Water-based oils, or just with careful setting out of medium, cleaner etc?
Caroline and Judy- I have a pochade box that holds up to an 8x10 board. I push the seat back, put it in my lap, put my mineral spirits in the cup holder (with a paper towel around it to sop up any splashes) and I'm good to go.
Thanks Kathy. If you don't mind explaining a bit more, do you mean mineral spirits for cleaning in between strokes AND as a paint thinning medium, and no linseed oil?

Your landscapes are inspiring, Kathy. I especially like your graphic, clean shapes and your color choices. Nice.
Thanks, Candace!
Very nice! Love the yellow on yellow!

I use a little Liquin as a medium.
