Bike path reflection- sold
Some unseasonably warm winter weather got me out painting this week, after I had seen these rocks and reflections while taking a walk.

Geraniums-sold
Oil, 8" x 10"
Painted this past summer in my backyard. This painting was a little larger but I cropped it. Geraniums are one of my favorite flowers, they make such bold color statements.
This painting by Childe Hassam has always been a favorite of mine...

Portraits
Over the years I've been fortunate enough to have my portrait done a few times, and I thought I'd share them. This was done by Kate Huntington, an extremely talented and devoted artist here in Providence RI. She made me look better than I actually do.
This was done by my high school art teacher, Mr. Chen, as a demonstration for the class.
And this was done by my friend April, the humor illustrator, when we worked for the card company and I had been asked to do "some quick watercolor illustrations"- 20 of them- in a week or so. I guess I seemed kind of stressed.

Portraits
This is the second time Rich has modeled for us in his top hat. He's an amazing model, barely moves and never takes a break.
I've been really happy teaching my portrait class at the Portsmouth (RI) Arts Guild. They're really getting into the swing of it. The top photo (below) is my 15-20 minute demo; the rest is my students work.
